Tujuh bab terakhir membaca senyum dan citra publik, Pekan Kebudayaan Aceh 2009, demonstrasi, Mahathir, pariwisata dan perjudian, nasionalisme Indonesia–Malaysia, serta makna 1Malaysia bagi Aceh. Ekspresi wajah merupakan bahan interpretasi pertunjukan sosial, bukan alat untuk membuktikan kejujuran atau kesalahan seseorang. Perbandingan Malaysia membantu penulis memikirkan kepemimpinan dan identitas Aceh; perbedaan periode dan sistem politik harus dipertahankan.
