Suhaidi adalah Bupati Gayo Lues periode 2025–2030. Bersama Maliki sebagai pasangan nomor urut 2, ia memperoleh 34.353 suara (54,40 persen) dalam Pilkada 27 November 2024, mengungguli Said Sani–Saini. KIP Gayo Lues menetapkannya pada 9 Januari 2025, dan pelantikan berlangsung pada 16 Februari 2025. Partai pengusung dan riwayat kariernya belum terverifikasi dari sumber yang ditelusuri.
