Prof. Muhammad Siddiq is listed as a member of the A'wan, the council of scholars that assists the Syuriyah, of the Aceh provincial board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU Aceh) for 2026–2031, where the roster gives the name as “Prof. Muhammad Siddiq, MH., Ph.D.” He is Prof. H. Muhammad Siddiq Armia, Ph.D., professor of constitutional law at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, born in Takengon, Central Aceh, in 1977. He studied at the Sharia Faculty of IAIN Ar-Raniry, took a master's at the Faculty of Law of Universitas Indonesia and a doctorate in comparative constitutional law at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, and completed the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) leadership programme in 2024. He sits on the 2023–2028 Tastafi expert council and was one of four candidates for rector of UIN Ar-Raniry for 2026–2030. The 2026–2031 PWNU board followed NU Aceh's 15th regional conference in Banda Aceh on 15–16 February 2026, which re-elected Tgk. H. Nuruzzahri Yahya (Waled NU) as Rais Syuriyah and Tgk. H. Faisal Ali (Abu Sibreh) as chair; it was installed by PBNU Rais Syuriyah KH Muhammad Cholil Nafis on 27 June 2026.
