Hasyim KS merupakan sastrawan dan wartawan kelahiran Lhok Paoh, Aceh Selatan, 21 Juli 1940, yang dijuluki "Serdadu Tua". Ia menulis cerpen, puisi, prosa, dan naskah drama, serta ikut membangun harian Serambi Indonesia, tempat ia mengasuh kolom cerita rakyat "Apit Awe". Sebelumnya ia menjadi koresponden Indonesia Raya dan menulis untuk Tempo serta Analisa. Ia menyusun antologi Seulawah: Antologi Sastra Aceh Sekilas Pintas (1995) bersama LK Ara dan Taufiq Ismail. Ia wafat pada 13 Januari 2004.
Hasyim KS was a writer and journalist born in Lhok Paoh, South Aceh, on 21 July 1940, nicknamed "the Old Soldier". He wrote short stories, poetry, prose and plays, and helped build the Serambi Indonesia daily, where he ran the folklore column "Apit Awe". Earlier he was a correspondent for Indonesia Raya and wrote for Tempo and Analisa. He compiled the anthology Seulawah: Antologi Sastra Aceh Sekilas Pintas (1995) with LK Ara and Taufiq Ismail. He died on 13 January 2004.
