Azwar (Dr.dr., SpMK, SpTHT-KL) is listed as a member of the Public Health Division in the Department of Health and Community Welfare of ICMI's Aceh regional board (Orwil Aceh) for 2026–2031. Born in Langsa on 3 May 1966, he qualified as a physician at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Syiah Kuala (1994), specialised in clinical microbiology (2001) and otorhinolaryngology–head and neck surgery (2002–2006) at Universitas Airlangga, and earned a doctorate in medical and health sciences from Universitas Gadjah Mada (2010–2016). He has taught at USK's Faculty of Medicine since 2000 and heads the ENT department at Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital in Banda Aceh. His publications focus on chronic suppurative otitis media, sinus disease, hearing loss, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and molecular diagnostics. He already sat in ICMI Orwil Aceh's Public Health Division in the 2021–2026 term.
